Frank Sawyer’s Killer Bug is a legendary fly. He’s the same chap that designed the pheasant tail nymph- so needless to say, legend. This is my spin to turn this pattern into a Euro style, with a nod to Lance Egan around the red collar. It’s been an extremely effective pattern to fish. Somewhat of a crane fly imitation, and somewhat of a searching pattern, it’s a great choice to start out the day.
