I started tying flies in my teens and have been tying since the mid 1970's to chase Pennsylvania trout. I became very interested in the aquatic insect life cycles and remain fascinated by the delicate balance between a stream's ability to support forage and therefore support the fish we love to chase.
While spending the better part of 25 years serving in the Navy, I have had the good fortune to fish in the UK and in Europe as well as learning to tie the patterns from those parts of the world. I enjoy creating and testing new patterns and welcome custom designs.
