Originally a Will Dornan pattern- this fly has got all the hallmarks of a great stonefly/hopper pattern. I’ve amped this up by adding a high visibility wing along with an electric purple flash body. This is one of the few patterns I tie standard with a barbed hook- this hopper was made for a dropper. It floats like a battleship, thanks to the addition of a 4mm foam top body and extra tight hackle wraps. It will keep a pretty good sized nymph under it and not get lost in the foam. It is a rock solid foam attractor pattern that will turn heads when it lands.
