Credit for this pattern goes out to Hans Stephenson at Dakota Angler. Liked the look for the Appalachian waters but wanted to give it a bit of a twist and go yellow. I was right, as it’s as good a searching pattern as it is a fairly good larval imitation. It has a grub like quality but with some flash and UV to contrast a heavy dark thorax. Lots of success stories with this fly from New England to Colorado.
