Midges nymphs are a year long mainstay of trout diets everywhere and are a productive pattern especially in winter. These are my favorite patterns.
Charlie Cravens Jujube is tied with Super Hair and uses a Fluoro-Fiber wingcase and legs and lights up in the UV spectrum for maximum attention to a small fly.
The D-Rib Midge is tied with Veevus body quill under the rib for maximum sparkle and has Antron for the wingcase and legs to trap the air bubbles to give that effect as the actual nymph.
Bead Head Zebra Midge nymphs are a time honored and productive fly. The bead gives it a slimmer profile to get down to the bottom rather than suspending slightly higher in the column. Tied traditionally silver bead and wire rib and coated in resin for durability.
