This pattern crossed the bench after a TU meeting, and I wanted to play around with it before offering it up. I love a bugger for sure, and this variant is no exception. I slightly modified the original by putting this on a heavy jig streamer hook, upping the bead size to drop the head a raise the tail, and keeping a pair of rubber legs in the front as well as trailing. A collar of some soft hackle rounds it out for maximum movement on the drift and the strip. Think of it as a Knuckle Dragger meets a conventional bugger. Smallmouth and trout alike will move on this pattern as a sculpin, baitfish, craw or a tasty minnow.
